With clients from across the arts, sports and tourism sectors Paddy Cuthbert has a diverse range of experience of media relations, communications and PR campaign management.
Paddy has worked on both national and international projects and events shaping and delivering impactful, integrated media relations and communication campaigns for a range of projects and international events from mountain biking, windsurfing, archery, motorcycle trials, adventure racing and triathlon events to destination management PR and public art exhibitions to comedy, contemporary dance and theatre productions.
Paddy confidently manages full communication programmes from developing integrated results driven public relations strategies to rolling-out engaging media relations and social media activity that build brand credibility and trust, raise awareness, create positive perceptions and ultimately affect change and behaviour. Paddy also has crisis management experience that includes the cancellation of the world famous Edinburgh’s Hogmany Street Party, the cancellation of an Israeli theatre production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe due to extreme political protest and setting up crisis management plans for clients.
Over the last twenty years in media relations and communication Paddy has forged strong and powerful relationships with clients, project partners and a wide variety of stakeholders (local government, sponsors, suppliers, national funding bodies, etc, from a variety of organisations and business sectors), as well as with regional, national and international print, online and broadcast media contacts and influencers.
In 1998 Paddy set up Podge Publicity that became Scotland’s leading independent communication consultants for culture, active tourism and adventure sports. In January 2014, having joined forces with The Inside Line Partnership, a successful PR, marketing and design agency, a few years earlier, Paddy made the decision to leave the business and set up as an independent media relations and PR consultant.
Paddy now works under the banner of Littlehouse Media, often collaborating with PR, photography, video, marketing and design specialists in order to deliver the most beneficial results.
Paddy Cuthbert’s campaigns are tailored to the commercial and organisational objectives of his clients and the, often limited, budget in hand. They are designed to reach, engage and influence audiences. He keeps it clear and simple, open and honest and is flexible with an enthusiastic, loyal and caring approach. By keeping things fresh, focused and ambitious the sharp, common sense tactics have both media appeal and consumer connection.
Attention grabbing photocalls, media launches and press announcements, together with media centre operations management are particular specialities.
The stakeholder brands and organisations Paddy Cuthbert has collaborated with include Sport Relief, BBC, RBS, Nissan Europe, VisitScotland, EventScotland, The City of Edinburgh Council, Glasgow City Council, Highlands and Islands Council, Scottish Borders Council, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Tissot, GE, NatWest, Corona, Nokia, Magners and Men’s Health.
